Self Sabotage And Low Self Esteem

Self-sabotage is something we do to ourselves when we feel we don’t deserve good things to happen to or for us. There is no logical explanation for why we don’t or won’t allow such things to happen. Self-sabotage is about balance, or should really say Unbalance. It’s about denying your self for so long that you take it all at once. Self-Sabotage is extremely powerful, because most of the time, it bypasses the conscious mind, and is done directly within the realms of the subconscious. An effective way to overcome this mental hurdle is to always remind yourself that you are in the present moment.

Self-sabotage is a means by which a you can absolve yourself of accountability. This is failure without personal responsibility; the means by which we can blame others for what goes wrong. Self-sabotage is what’s lurking in my subconscious. I can feel it.

Self-sabotage is a strategy many of us use to protect ourselves against the possibility of failure. Removing those external obstacles we put in place to avoid getting down to the business of writing the thesis is paramount.


Self-sabotage is when you let your insecurities take control of your life. Often people will self sabotage themselves or their own efforts without even being aware they are doing it.

Procrastination is a type of avoidance. By not doing what you should be doing, you’re avoiding the fears, which are triggered if you did. Procrastination is the postponement of things, sometimes infinitely.


There are individuals who postpone their works to some other time for no reasons. Procrastination is a common human trait and everyone defers things at one time or the other in both personal and professional life. While some habitually delay things, it’s only an occasional problem for some others.


Self-sabotage at the professional level may include criticizing yourself directly in relation to your professional position. Refrain from making negative, frequent, and excessive comments regarding the difficulty, the amount, or the quality of your work.

Self-sabotage occurs when you make choices that are not in your highest good.

These choices may be extreme, as occurs when someone makes choices that cause their life to spiral out of control. Self-sabotage is a major problem, especially with depressives who sabotage the best things in their lives. Be sure you do not set yourself up as a victim either, you will never heal until you let go.
